Lamination Technician Job Description Join our innovative team as a Lamination Technician, where your contributions will help transform vision into reality. Located in Merritt Island, FL, this role involves the elementary and routine mix and lay-up of composite materials, fiberglass, resins, and catalysts onto mold surfaces using various hand tools. You will utilize open mold and vacuum infusion processes and work with various resins, gel-coats, fiberglass materials, foam, and structural adhesives. For quicker response email resume to (Kgraf@aerotek.com) Responsibilities Perform mix and lay-up of composite materials onto mold surfaces using hand tools. Utilize open mold and vacuum infusion processes. Work with resins, gel-coats, fiberglass materials, foam, and structural adhesives. Install wood and other components into fiberglass hulls, decks, and small part molds. Operate power tools including saws, drills, grinders, and overhead hoists. Locate parts using detailed blueprints, work instructions, tools, and fixtures. Sand fiberglass hulls, decks, and small part molds. Follow all safety standards and procedures, including chemical handling standards and PPE requirements. Adhere to quality standards and adapt to new standards as processes evolve. Demonstrate dependability and reliability. Work well with teams and understand verbal and written directions. Read and understand blueprints. Use hand, battery, and pneumatic tools. Work in close proximity to co-workers and in areas with limited space. Possibly operate a forklift and overhead hoist. Handle computer, fiberglass, and gel-coat applications. Why Work Here?
