• Job Description
• We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Rebar Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a manual bending machine to fabricate rebar according to specified dimensions and shapes. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of rebar fabrication techniques.
• Responsibilities
• + Operate manual bending machines to bend rebar to specified shapes and dimensions.

+ Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the required rebar shapes and sizes. + Measure and cut rebar to the required lengths using cutting tools and equipment. + Ensure the accuracy of bends and cuts by using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and protractors. + Perform quality checks on fabricated rebar to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards. + Maintain and perform routine maintenance on bending machines and other fabrication equipment. + Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. + Collaborate with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines. + Keep work area clean and organized.

• Essential Skills
• + Proven experience as a rebar fabricator or in a similar role.

+ Proficiency in operating manual bending machines and other fabrication tools. + Experience in labor and production + Knowledge of rebar and rigging + Proficiency with overhead crane and boom truck operation + Experience with reach truck and Genie operation + Material handling skills + Welding and grinding expertise + Machine operation experience + Ability to deburr and bend conduit

• Additional Skills & Qualifications
• + Ability to use a tape measure + Experience with rigging chains to tie rebar bundles + Familiarity with overhead crane use + Experience with reach truck and boom use

• Work Environment
• You will work in an industrial environment located downtown at a rebar manufacturer. The office has a business casual dress code, while the shop requires jeans, steel toes, and a t-shirt. Safety glasses are mandatory in safety-sensitive areas. The environment can be hot and dirty, but it is a dynamic and engaging place to work.

• This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, Florida.
• Pay and Benefits
• The pay range for this position is $20.00 – $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
