Sandblaster 4.2 4.2 out of 5 stars Ybor City, FL 33605 •Sandblasting experience preferred•Gillmann Services is now hiring sandblaster for work in the Tampa, FL. Must have valid drivers license with reliable transportation. Forklift experience required. Starting Pay $18/hr + Benefits kick in right away! Day shift M-F 6am-6pm Experience is NOT necessary, willing to train. Must be available to work 50+ hrs, lots of overtime. This is a FLEX position. Primarily sandbasting and work in the shipping department making crates, prepping machines and parts for shipment, loading trucks with forklift. Will fill in where needed; learn assembly, find parts, complete janitorial work when other workers are absent or assistance is needed.
Basic Job Duties:
Prepare metal for painting, which includes sandblasting, sanding spatter and rust. wiping down steel to remove oil and cutting fluids sand primer and verifying removal of spatter and slag. Use measurement devices to measure & record sandblast profile. Perform daily maintenance routines on blast equipment. Clean blast booth, lights and change filters. Follow safe operating and lifting procedures for overhead cranes. Wear proper safety equipment.
