Steel Erector NSJ Fence & Welding Tampa, FL 33610 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Ironworker to join our dynamic construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the assembly and installation of metal structures, ensuring all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and building codes. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices, as well as the ability to read and interpret schematics. Duties Fabricate and assemble metal structures using various techniques and tools. Weld components using Stick welding and FCAW methods, ensuring strong and durable joints. Operate cranes and other power tools safely and efficiently on construction sites. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications. Adhere to all safety protocols, codes, and standards while performing tasks on-site. Collaborate with other construction professionals to complete projects on time and within specifications. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and materials to ensure quality control. Skills Proficiency in operating cranes and various power tools. Strong welding skills, particularly in Stick welding and FCAW techniques. Ability to fabricate metal components according to project requirements. Familiarity with machining processes as they relate to ironworking tasks. Knowledge of reading schematics and blueprints effectively. Understanding of construction site safety practices, codes, and standards. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Job requirements Minimum 5 years of experience as a Structural Steel Project Manager Valid driver’s license and clean driving record Proficient in reading blueprints, drawings, and plans Solid knowledge of OSHA safety regulations Ability and willingness to travel Bilingual in Spanish (preferred, with additional compensation) Technical/computer proficiency Authorized to work in the U.S.
