Full Job Description Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Structural Steel Yardman to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling, organizing, and preparing steel materials in our yard for fabrication, delivery, and installation. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail, strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Load and unload structural steel using forklifts, cranes, or other lifting equipment Sort, organize, and store steel materials in designated yard location Assist with preparing steel components for dispatch Read and interpret material lists, tags, and drawings Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Conduct regular yard inspections and inventory checks Follow all safety regulations and company procedures Assist with general yard maintenance and other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a structural steel or construction yard (preferred) Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, and other heavy equipment (certification an asset) Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to read basic drawings and material lists Strong commitment to workplace safety Valid driver’s license (preferred)
