Job Description
Summary:
Seeking a Structural Mechanic III experienced in aircraft assembly and metal fabrication for detailed structural work. High School Diploma or GED required 4 years related structural assembly experience Skilled in close tolerance work with special tools and equipment Ability to work with composite resins and materials Metal fabrication skills (press brakes, shears, laser/plasma cutting) Experience with hand tools (impact drivers, torque wrenches), hand bucking rivets
Preferred Skills:
Experience working with Solumina and Smarteam Q-stamp certification On Aircraft experience preferred 3D Model experience
Responsibilities:
Perform assembly and fitting of detail parts and structures safely Execute drilling and riveting operations; ensure parts/assembly meet requirements Conduct sheetmetal layout, fabrication, and installation on aircraft Rivet structural members using necessary tools without damaging structures Read blueprints and operation sheets to determine sequence of operations Maintain logs and records accurately Align, assemble, shape, and form parts according to specifications Make repairs per Discrepant Material Tags (DMT), Material Review Requests (MRR)
