Fabrication Prep Technician Alternate Energy Systems, Inc. Peachtree City, GA 30269 Job Overview Raw Material Preparation for
Welding:
Deburr edges of cut steel Remove protective coatings using sandblaster or grinder Paint Prep for
Finishing Assemblies:
Clean all welds to remove splatter, slag, and residue using grinding tools, sandblasters, files, and degreasers Apply caulking where needed Tape off areas not to be painted Hang parts on paint racks for finishing Use Bondo to fill deep gouges in plate steel
Final Cleaning & Shipment Prep:
Perform final wipe-down of assemblies Assist in packing loose components in front cabinet for shipment
Qualifications:
Forklift experience preferred Experience with grinders, sandblasters, and general shop tools a plus Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail and safety procedures
