Fabrication Basic math Welding Certification Power tools Welding Hand tools Entry level Full Job Description Fabricator/Prep Technician We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Prep Technician to join our Welding Department in the fabrication of structural metal products for our plant in Alpharetta, Georgia. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing materials for welding and ensuring their readiness for the next stage of production, including prep for painting.
Pay Rate:
Starting at $18 per hour
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 6:00 am – 3:00
PM Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and organize metal materials for welding, ensuring they meet specifications. Utilize grinders and other tools to smooth, shape, and deburr metal surfaces. Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accuracy in material preparation. Assist in moving prepped materials to the welding and painting stages. Maintain a clean and safe workspace, following all safety protocols.
Qualifications:
Experience with grinders and other metalworking tools. Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Prior experience in metal fabrication or welding prep is preferred but not required
