Schedule:

About the Role IPS is seeking a hands-on Construction Crew Team Leader to oversee a small crew (2-3 employees) on structural steel projects. The ideal candidate will have construction leadership experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead a team safely and efficiently. This role requires performing hands-on structural steel installation and welding duties in addition to crew leadership responsibilities. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate a small construction crew (2-3 employees) on structural steel projects. Actively perform hands-on structural steel installation and welding duties alongside the crew. Ensure all projects meet quality and safety standards through direct involvement and supervision. Provide guidance and support to team members while working collaboratively on fabrication and installation tasks. Communicate effectively with team members and project managers to ensure smooth project execution. Identify and troubleshoot challenges on-site to maintain efficiency and project timelines.

Experience Stick welding:

3 years (Preferred). Five (5) years of related industrial construction iron working experience is preferred. Crew Lead Experience is a plus and can negotiate for higher pay than the rates listed here. Qualifications Basic Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (required). Must meet eligibility requirements for RAFB clearance, which includes no felony convictions. Ability to pass drug testing (IPS LLC is a drug-free workplace). Preferred Qualifications

AWS D1.1

Welding Certification for 3G/4G (or 6G, which supersedes 3G/4G, preferred). Ability to read and understand erection drawings. Prior experience leading a construction crew (preferably in structural steel). Strong hands-on welding, fabrication, or steel installation skills. Knowledge of job site safety protocols. Physical Requirements Ability to work in various conditions, including outdoor job sites. Must be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs and operate tools and construction equipment.
