Bo-Mac Contractors, Ltd. in the Destrehan, LA area is offeringchallenging and exciting career opportunities for Steel ErectionJourneyman. We are seeking an experienced Steel ErectionSuperintendent to oversee and manage our steel erection projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in steelconstruction, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment tosafety and quality.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Assemble and installsteel framework and other metal parts. Read and interpretblueprints and specifications to determine the layout of thestructural components. Use hand tools, power tools, and weldingequipment to cut, shape, and join steel. Ensure all work meetssafety standards and building codes. Collaborate with otherconstruction professionals to complete projects on time and withinbudget.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 4 years of experience as a SteelErector or similar role. Proficient in reading and interpretingblueprints and technical drawings. Strong knowledge of safetyprocedures and regulations. Ability to work at heights and invarious weather conditions. Excellent physical stamina and hand-eyecoordination. Certification in welding or rigging is a plus.
PREFERED EXPERIENCE
Preference given to candidates with a minimumof 5 years of work experience as a steel erection journeyman atmeets or exceeds performance expectations.
