Topsfield, Georgetown, and Plainville, MA Full-Time | 40Hours/Week + Overtime Available About the
Role:
Lawton Welding,Massachusetts’ premier Structural Steel and Miscellaneous Metalscompany, is seeking skilled Iron Workers to join our growing team. Thisrole involves installation of structural and miscellaneous metals inboth outside and inside environments. You’ll be working on everythingfrom structural steel buildings and staircases to custom sign frames,ornamental metals, and railings.
Key Responsibilities:
Installstructural steel, staircases, railings, sign frames, and miscellaneousmetal structures on job sites. Read and interpret blueprints, erectiondrawings, and field sketches. Use hand tools and power tools to measure,cut, connect, and weld steel and miscellaneous metals. Bolt-up and weldconnections, perform layout, rigging, and steel alignment. Operatelifts, hoists, and rigging equipment safely. Perform grinding andfinishing on ornamental and architectural metalwork. Work in both indoorand outdoor environments, sometimes at heights.
Qualifications:
Driver’s License required. Must speak English fluently. Minimum 2 yearsexperience in structural or miscellaneous steel installation preferred.
Experience with welding, rigging, and reading drawings a strong plus.
Must be dependable, punctual, safety-conscious, and hardworking. Abilityto lift and handle heavy materials and work in a physically demandingenvironment.
