We partner with businesses and jobseekers to place qualified individuals efficiently. Currently, we are looking for a Marine Craftsman in Gulfport, MS.

Responsibilities:

Install hatches, hardware, metal trim, cabinets, windshields, and seating using hand and power tools. Accurately measure and mark part positions using templates, rulers, and marking devices. Cut, grind, and mount bases/brackets; drill holes and secure parts with bolts, screws, or adhesives. Apply caulking compounds around rails, windows, and fixtures. Cut, cement, crimp, screw, or install trim using hacksaws, mallets, and crimping devices. Inspect vessels post-installation for quality assurance; report and document defects. Grind and smooth hulls to remove burrs and ensure proper finish. Install propulsion systems including inboard, outboard, waterjets, and stern drives. Measure, cut, and install insulation where needed.

Troubleshoot and test mechanical systems:

engines, pumps, hydraulics, and tubing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, upholstery, welding) to meet project goals. Guide junior technicians, communicate effectively with management, and participate in project planning.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of marine assembly or finish carpentry experience required Strong mechanical skills with experience in engine, hydraulic, and propulsion systems Ability to read and interpret blueprints and marine specifications Proficiency in using hand and power tools, including grinders and saws Knowledge of marine adhesives, caulking, and bonding techniques Strong communication and leadership skills Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in physically demanding environments OSHA 10 preferred; additional marine certifications a plus Ability to pass a background check and a drug screen is required.
