Metal Fabricator Race Tech Race Cars and Components Burlington, NC 27217 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal and Composite Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in fabricating metal components, working with composite materials while using various tools and machinery. This role requires a strong understanding of hand tools, fabrication machinery, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fabrication shop environment. The Fabricator will be responsible for creating high-quality bodies and parts for race cars while ensuring safety and precision. Responsibilities Fabricate metal components according to specifications and blueprints. Operate and maintain equipment such as sheer, brake and plasma cutting tools. Utilize skills to accurately measure, cut, and shape materials. Perform machining tasks as needed to ensure precise fabrication. Use calipers and other measuring tools to verify dimensions of finished products. Collaborate with team members on projects to meet deadlines. Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards throughout the fabrication process. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols. Requirements Experience in metal fabrication or a related field. Proficiency in operating shears, metal brake machines and plasma cutting equipment. Strong understanding of machining processes and techniques. Proficient math skills for accurate measurements and calculations. Familiarity with industry codes and standards related to metal fabrication. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Experience working with composite materials is preferred but not mandatory. (Training provided) Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Must be able to lift 10 to 20 lbs. through the day and up to 75 lbs. on occasion. Motorsports experience is a plus
