Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Welding Shop Assistant to support operations in our aluminum stick welding shop. This entry-level position does not require prior welding experience , as all necessary training will be provided on the job. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, dependable, can read a tape measure and use tools. Bilingual speaking preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist welders with daily tasks including setup, cleanup, and material handling Cut aluminum metal according to specifications. Support welders by positioning materials, holding components, and adjusting as directed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop area Transport tools, equipment, and supplies as needed Support quality control efforts by inspecting basic components for damage or defects Learn and follow all safety protocols and procedures Perform other general labor duties as assigned

Qualifications:

No prior welding experience required – training will be provided High school diploma or GED preferred Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work on your feet for extended periods Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a positive attitude Punctual and reliable Monday through Friday 7:30-4:00 40-45 hours/week
