Theposition of Licensed Clinical Social Worker calls for aprofessional clinician with direct experience and skill in treatinga range of behavioral health issues. The position requires anindividual who is able to treat and be successfully at assessingand treating co-occurring disorders including mental illness,personality disorders, and challenges in primary or secondarysupport systems. The position of Licensed Clinical Social Workerincludes active engagement and coordination of care with internalresources including psychiatry and community support as well asexternal bodies including the legal system, families, and socialsupport agencies. The position may call for back-up to the programdirector and or other therapists as needed. The position requiresthe individual to be an active and positive member of the clinicalteam. Based on setting, special skills and/or work with specificpopulations will be required. Relies on knowledge, experience, andjudgment to provide quality services with very little supervisionand direction. Must be an individual that holds a license issued bythe governing board regulating a human service profession. Someservices may require additional experience, licensure, oreducation.

Monday throughFriday varied hours 8 am – 6 pmPay range: $58,000 – $60,000JobResponsibilitiesAs a Clinical Social Worker with RHA, yourresponsibilities will vary based on the groups you work with andthe programs through which you provide services. In all activities,you will coordinate closely with the interdisciplinary team to besthelp service users, including behavioral health specialists,registered nurses, quality assurance specialists, paraprofessionalsand the Clinical Director.
Additional responsibilities of theClinical Social Worker include:
Conducting clinicalassessmentsRunning individual, family and group outpatient therapysessionsConducting inpatient group therapy sessionsOrienting newservice users to RHADeveloping person-centered plans for serviceusersOversee the discharge planning processFacilitatingrelationships between RHA, service user families/legal guardiansand various social service community resources, such as food stampand housing assistance, healthcare, job training and placement andsubstance abuse support groups#HPBHOur ideal Licensed ClinicalSocial Worker is an excellent communicator and listener with strongtherapeutic skills who works well as part of an interdisciplinaryteam and runs open and productive therapy sessions. You must alsoexcel at behavioral interviewing techniques to uncover service userneeds and be able to anticipate these needs.

Graduate degree inSocial Work or a related fieldValid licensure to providemental/behavioral healthcare in the state of North CarolinaMinimum2 years experience working with individuals with mental and/orbehavioral health issues that includes writing person-centeredplans, conducting effective group therapy and providing mentalhealth diagnosesGeneral working knowledge of the human servicesdelivery system in North CarolinaValid drivers license, autoinsurance and reliable transportationAbility to pass a drug screenand background checkExperience with Electronic Medical Records(EMR) preferredPre-employment screening:
