Job Summary:
Assists steel fabricators and welders in the preparation, assembly, and installation of structural and miscellaneous metal components. This role supports daily operations by handling materials, cleaning work areas, and ensuring tools and equipment are ready for use.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in measuring, cutting, and grinding metal materials Transport raw materials and finished products to designated areas Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision Support welders and fabricators during assembly and installation Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces Perform other general labor tasks as needed
Qualifications:
Previous experience in construction or metal fabrication is a plus, training available Ability to read basic measurements and follow instructions Ability to stand for long periods of time, vend and twist and repetitive motions/movements and lift up to 45 lbs Willingness to learn and take direction Strong work ethic and attention to safety Follow company protocols related to time and attendance
