Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot, repair and complete preventative maintenance onGround Service Equipment (both motorized and non-motorized) Workwill include diagnostic testing and repair of gas engines,transmissions, suspension and brake systems Troubleshooting andrepair of diesel engines, heavy industrial equipment, includinglarge aircraft air conditioners, air start and ground electricalpower units Ground Service Equipment Technicians are represented bythe International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT) Schedules are bidand awarded according to seniority Salary increases will beadministered according to the current IBT/United contract Newemployees are required to join the union within ninety (90) days ofemployment There is an initiation fee for joining the union andsubsequent monthly union dues which are set by the Local LodgeQualifications United values diverse experiences, perspectives, andwe encourage everyone who meets the minimum qualifications toapply. What’s needed to succeed: 24months of experience with troubleshooting, repair, and maintenanceof gas and diesel engines, electrical and hydraulic systems, andmotorized equipment Must have a high school diploma, GED orequivalent Must possess a valid state issued driver’s licenseAbility to work any shift assigned (nights, weekends, holidays, andovertime as needed) within 24/7 operation Ability to climb and workfrom ladders, and/or walk for extended periods Ability to workoutdoors in all temperatures and weather conditions Ability to workin an environment with exposure to high noise levels Moderatelifting Computer experience for input and retrieval of data Whatwill help you propel from the pack: Certificate of completion froman accredited automotive school Experience with motorized equipmentsupporting airport ground operations The starting rate for thisrole is $32.65. This is also a bonus eligible position (i.e. profitsharing).
