We are seeking a qualified candidate with general industry experience who is honest, organized, and reliable. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of steel fabrication processes and a commitment to quality and teamwork. Responsibilities Interpret and read contract drawings and specifications Produce shop drawings for structural and miscellaneous steel using Tekla Structures Prepare and submit RFIs (Requests for Information) to design teams as needed Assist estimators in preparing material takeoffs for bids and proposals Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure accuracy and project alignment Maintain clear communication with project managers, fabricators, and site personnel (Preferred) Valid driver’s license and willingness to visit job sites for field measurements Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in steel detailing, with strong proficiency in Tekla Structures Solid understanding of structural and miscellaneous steel components Proficient in Microsoft 365, especially Word and Excel Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to read and interpret complex contract drawings and specifications Able to work overtime if needed Must be able to speak and understand English fluently Preferred Skills Experience assisting with project bids and estimating processes Familiarity with AISC standards and detailing best practices Ability to operate and maintain beam line machinery and CNC machines Compensation Negotiable based on experience
