Job Description:

As a Travel Iron Worker, you will be responsible for a range of tasks related to the installation and erection of structural steel. You will travel to various job sites across the Southeast, utilizing your expertise to help build, install, and secure steel components safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for steel structures. Rig, hoist, and position steel components using cranes and other equipment. Weld, bolt, and rivet structural steel members into place. Safely work at heights using proper fall protection systems. Operate aerial lifts, scissor lifts, and other construction equipment. Follow OSHA safety regulations and company guidelines at all times. Work effectively within a team to complete projects on time and within budget. Travel to different job sites and work in various weather conditions.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of experience in structural steel erection preferred. Ability to travel for extended periods (traveling from Georgia to Virginia to Tennessee). Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions. Proficient in welding, bolting, and rigging techniques. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
