Altaquip, founded in 1997, has become one of the largest providers of commercial and consumer equipment service in the U.S. We offer services on a number of product categories, such small engine repair and outdoor power and lawn maintenance. Altaquip services over 100 manufacturer’s brands including Craftsman, Briggs & Stratton, Toro, Caterpillar, Husqvarna, Ariens, Generac, EGO, Greenworks and MTD, to name a few.
Summary
Technicians are responsible for helping the company provide an excellent and consistent service quality product through proper diagnosis, repair, warranty/non-warranty evaluation, cleaning, and documentation of each unit that is brought into the Service Center for repair or refurbishment so that the customer is given an excellent service experience.
Primary Responsibilities
Repair all assigned units safely, correctly, and efficiently
Accurately document all work performed to each unit on the work order for invoicing
Accurately capture all product information including serial number, model number, and other required information for the proper filing of warranty claims
Clean repaired units prior to moving them to the outbound area for delivery
Reference parts via computer and retrieve parts from storage when needed
Keep work area clean and organized
Other Responsibilities
Housekeeping of all common shop areas and other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Certification preferred
Ability to read and write the English language
Ability to use a computer for parts lookup
Previous experience working on 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines preferred
Previous experience working on Riding Mowers preferred
Working Conditions
Duties will be performed in a shop environment
Walking, standing, bending, reaching, and squatting will be required
The ability to move and lift up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis is required
