Job Description
Foreman Ironworker Alpha Steel Erectors, LLC Memphis, TN 38118 We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Steel Foreman to oversee and manage steel construction and fabrication projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in steelwork, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to ensure that projects are completed on time. As a Steel Foreman, you will be responsible for supervising a team of workers, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
Overseeing and coordinating the fabrication and/or erection of structural steel components Ensuring projects are completed on time within budget Following required quality and safety standards Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other departments Train and mentor team members to improve skills and efficiency Calculate material measurements to verify specifications Comfortable working in heights Operating equipment such as boom lift or forklift Conduct tests to evaluate weld quality and tolerance Keeping system up to date with the proper photos and notes
Qualifications:
Proven 3-5 years previous experience as a foreman Strong knowledge of steel construction and fabrication processes Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints Adequate computer skills Excellent leadership and communication skills. Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices.
