Environmental Field Technician Job Description:

We are seeking experienced Environmental Field Technicians to join our growing team in Fort Lauderdale, FL ! In this role you will respond to environmental emergencies within a 24-hour period. The ideal candidate will perform both technical field and office work, operating various mechanical equipment such as Vac Trucks, Super Duster, forklifts, pallet jacks, lift gates, trucks, trailers, and other necessary machinery. Responsibilities include conducting clean-up and decontamination procedures, maintaining inventory lists, and completing various reports and Field Dailies. The candidate should understand the terminology and principles of spill responses and possess basic knowledge of the proper storage, treatment, and disposal of hazardous materials collected during clean-up. Additionally, the technician must work well with the public, clients, and other employees, field phone calls, and communicate effectively with Field Supervisors. The role involves performing limited chemical tests, working around a variety of chemicals, preparing equipment, and keeping accurate field log books. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience operating excavation and drilling equipment, remediation and recovery equipment, decontamination and spill response gear, and those with experience monitoring wells and groundwater.
