Job Description

Landscape Design Build Division Operations Manager Oasis Landscape & Irrigation Atlanta, GA 30360 1.

Position description:

The Operations Manager must be thoroughly familiar with all aspects of company operations to include: customer service, estimating, production, etc. The Operations Manager must display the leadership capability to manage other team memebers on a daily basis while creating and maintaining a professional decorum and atmosphere. 2.

Reports to:

The Operations Manager reports directly to the CEO, or Vice President 3.

Skill set and educational requirements:

The Operations Manager must possess the following skill set and educational background: Possess a valid driver’s license and must be insurable on company’s insurance policy. Have a clean criminal record. Proficient in both oral and written communications. Possesses excellent computer skills. Proficient in or able to learn customer relationship management (CRM) scheduling software. Proficient in or able to learn company GPS tracking system. Proficient in or able to learn how to effectively operate company’s hand-held scheduling hardware. Proficient in MS Word & MS Excel. Able to create an atmosphere of cooperation and professionalism among field personnel. Able to represent the company in a courteous and professional manner. 4.

Responsibilities:

Supervises all field personnel and evaluates his / her performance in writing bi-annually. Ensures all work (projects and service accounts) are scheduled properly. Ensures all materials for projects and service accounts are available when needed. Ensures all equipment for projects and service accounts are available when needed. Ensures all accidents are properly documented and reported immediately. Ensures all workers’ compensation insurance claims are properly documented and reported immediately. Maintains schedule identified in office checklist. Writes, maintains, and updates company SOPs (standard operating procedures). Ensures that accounting receives all paperwork from the field on a timely basis. Ensures that job cost reports are properly analyzed and disseminated. Ensures that company production standards are met. Assists in bidding process as needed. Implements and oversees training program for field staff. Ensures that company employee manual is adhered to by all staff. Ensures that company safety manual is adhered to by all staff. Ensures that all safety procedures are followed and that the field is run safely. Ensures safety program is in place and safety meetings are attended weekly by all field personnel. Hires, fires, trains, evaluates, and supervises all staff under his/her supervision. Evaluates equipment utilization and makes recommendations for future purchases. Ensures that equipment is operated in a safe and proper manner. Ensures that equipment is maintained properly. Disciplines company staff in accordance with company policy and documents the same. Thoroughly understands and complies with company policies, procedures, and SOPs. Supervises the company yard space. Assists in the development and implementation of the company’s strategic plan. Assists in the development, implementation, and achievement of the company’s annual budget goals. Assists in the development and implementation of the company’s new business development plan. Assists in the development and implementation of the company’s training goals. 5.
