In this role, you’ll operate with a higher degree of independence, taking the lead on site planning, conceptual design, and documentation, while mentoring junior staff and collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and clients. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional who is ready to take ownership of complex projects and help elevate our design practice. Location This role can report to any of our North Carolina offices (Charlotte, Raleigh, Wilmington) and will follow a hybrid work schedule. The Impact You Will Have
Lead site research and analysis efforts including zoning compliance, landscape ordinances, and development standards
Develop conceptual site plans, master plans, and construction documentation with minimal oversight
Oversee and contribute to the production of detailed drawings, design narratives, and visual presentations
Coordinate directly with clients, municipalities, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality project outcomes
Mentor and support junior designers and interns, providing guidance and design feedback
Support or lead efforts in cost estimation, quantity takeoffs, and value engineering
Participate in field inspections and on-site design evaluations as needed
Contribute to design innovation and standards development within the Landscape Architecture group
What We Are Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture or related field required
Minimum 8 years of professional experience in landscape architecture or civil site design
Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and the Microsoft Office suite
Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Lumion, Revit, or similar visualization software
Proven ability to independently manage portions of a project from concept through construction
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience with technical writing
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across disciplines and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience with field inspections and direct coordination with contractors and municipal agencies is a plus
Strong design sensibility and a detail-oriented mindset
