Job Description
Equipment Operator Westside Minerals, LLC La Grange, NC 28551 We are seeking an experienced equipment operator to join our team. The primary tasks will be the operation of a wheel loader and an articulating off road truck to move sand for the production of fill sand, concrete sand and mortar sand. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits – paid time off and retirement plan with employer match. Pay will be commensurate with experience.
Essential Responsibilities:
Safe and efficient operation of wheel loader or off road truck to meet production targets. Responsible for production, keeping product available to customers and maintenance of the disturbed area. Conduct pre-trip/walk-around safety inspections and completes daily Field Level Hazard Assessments for all activities. Maintain heavy equipment in good operating condition, reporting and logging maintenance requirements or concerns. Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members. Be a leader of both safety and production for the team by ensuring compliance with all company, client, and legislated safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Minimum one year of experience operating large track excavator equipment, preferably in a surface mining environment but those without this experience are encouraged to apply. MSHA Part 46 Certification is required; training and support is provided to obtain or update certificate as needed. Must have valid photo identification and reliable transportation.
