Crane Operator Burns Family Farms INC DBA Burns Millwright Services 1838 Rowan Road, Lumberton, NC 28358 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Crane Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment on construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of crane operations, safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Duties Operate cranes safely and efficiently to lift and move materials as required on construction sites. Perform pre-operation inspections on cranes and other heavy equipment to ensure they are in good working condition. Collaborate with ground crew members to communicate movements and ensure safety during operations. Maintain accurate logs of crane operations, including hours worked and materials moved. Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while operating equipment. Assist in the operation of additional machinery such as backhoes, dump trucks, concrete mixers, front loader trucks, water trucks, and tankers when needed. Participate in routine maintenance tasks for cranes and other heavy machinery to ensure optimal performance. Requirements Proven experience as a Crane Operator is preferred. Valid crane operator certification or license is required. Familiarity with various types of cranes including but not limited to Linkbelt models. Experience operating additional heavy machinery such as backhoes, dump trucks, concrete mixers, front loader trucks, water trucks, and tankers is a plus. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to crane operation and construction site safety. Ability to read blueprints and technical documents related to crane operations. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members. Physical stamina and strength to perform manual tasks associated with crane operation.
