The Baillie Group’s Davenport, NY location is looking to add a Log Yard Grader to the team. The Log Yard Grader is responsible for all aspects of grading, scaling, sorting and preparing logs delivered to the sawmill. Log Yard Manager Duties:

Assist the Log Yard Manager with coordinating and delivering on log sales Maintaining a tidy and organized log yard Grading and scaling logs in a busy log yard setting Responsible for assisting manager with log inventory log rotation, log sorting, managing the efficient flow of logs necessary to meet sawmill flow demands Complete necessary paperwork and complete necessary computer work Reports directly to the Log Yard Manager Other duties as needed

Log Yard Manager Qualifications:

Associates or Bachelors degree in Forestry preferred but not required Excellent communication skills with all levels of the company Solid understanding of basic mathematics Ability to work in a team atmosphere Valid driver’s license required Ability to work with a number of different technologies and computer programs Willingness to work in an outside environment Log Yard Manager Benefits & Pay Anticipated Minimum
