Loader Operator Job Description We are seeking a motivated and reliable Loader Operator to join our team. In this role, you will operate a front-end loader at a lawn and garden center, moving mulch, bark nuggets, and ground hardwoods to color machines or sorters. This position offers a family-friendly environment with potential for career growth. Responsibilities Operate a front-end loader to move materials such as mulch, bark nuggets, and ground hardwoods. Transport materials to color machines or sorters. Perform regular equipment inspections and maintenance. Ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines. Essential Skills Experience with heavy equipment operation. Willingness to work outside in various weather conditions (rain, wind, heat, cold). Strong work ethic and good attitude. Reliability and dependability. Additional Skills & Qualifications Front loader experience is a plus but not required. Forklift operation experience is beneficial. Work Environment This position requires working outside in various weather conditions including rain, wind, heat, and cold. The standard working hours are from 4:30 PM to 2:00 AM, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break. During the busy season, shifts may extend from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Monday to Friday. Training will be provided on the first shift for the initial two weeks. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of PAGELAND, South Carolina. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 – $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
