• Job Summary:

• We are looking for a dependable and experienced Skidder Operator to join our logging crew. This role involves operating heavy machinery to drag felled trees from the cutting site to the landing area for processing and transport. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, physically fit, and comfortable working in rugged outdoor environments.###

• Key Responsibilities:

• Operate rubber-tired skidders to transport logs from felling site to landing
• Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance
• Secure logs using grapples and ensure safe transport
• Navigate challenging terrain while maintaining awareness of surroundings and crew
• Communicate effectively with fellow operators, cutters, and supervisors
• Follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations
• Assist with site cleanup and other logging tasks as needed.###

• Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of experience operating skidders or similar logging equipment
• Valid drivers license; CDL preferred but not required
• Strong understanding of logging safety practices and terrain navigation
• Ability to work long hours in varying weather conditions
• Physically capable of lifting, climbing, and working on uneven ground.###

• Preferred Skills:

• Mechanical aptitude for basic troubleshooting and repairs
• Familiarity with forestry operations and timber harvesting
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills.###

• Work Environment:

• Outdoor, physically demanding work in all weather conditions
