Job Duties$1500 Sign On Bonus Available Under direct supervision, operatesall cement pumping and mixing equipment: blenders, liquid additivemetering systems, centrifugal pumps, data acquisition systems,Automatic Density Control (ADC) systems, bulk cement blending,delivery and storage systems, manfolding equipment, and cementingplug releasing tools.

Performs pre-job calculations related to:

pipe capacities and volume/height math, plug landing pressures,absolute volumes (including total water requirements for job),hydrostatic and differential pressure, resulting forces, balancedplugs, bulk cement blending, calculations to include liquidadditives and weighted spacers, pressure to reverse, anddetermining burst and collapse. Sets-up and utilizes a controllerto run ADC software for the purpose of monitoring and acquiring jobdata and for accurate mixing of cement slurries in the performanceof a cementing job. Downloads controller and/or performs real-timereport generation of job data using the appropriate computersystem. Completes documents, reports, and forms related to thecementing service performed. Trains and provides guidance to lessexperienced Service Operators and Operator Assistants in theoperation of some or all of the following: cement pumping andmixing equipment, blenders, liquid additive metering systems,centrifugal pumps, data acquisition systems, ADC systems, bulkcement blending, delivery and storage systems, manfoldingequipment, and cementing plug releasing tools. Assists incommunicating the pre-job and on-the-job progress to customer. Jobtasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment,efficiency, profitability or operations. Consequences of error areeasily measured and can be confined. Promotes safety awareness andenvironmental consciousness, and complies with all applicablesafety and environmental procedures and regulations. Ensurescompliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulationsand guidelines. Promotes and takes an active part in qualityimprovement processes. A passing score on job-related tests ormeeting task guidelines is required. Capable of being deployed toany rig in the work area Qualifications Skills are typicallyacquired through successful completion of high school or similareducation and 1 year of experience as Service Operator-Cementing I.Class A CDL Required Given the nature of oil field service work,the ability to communicate effectively with others is necessary
