Role:
The Directional Drill Foreman is responsible for overseeing individual projects to assure the safe installation that is in compliance with the scope as established by the contract documents. This position oversees and directs the activities of employees on job sites. The Foreman demonstrates the integrity and dependability of the Company by maintaining positive and continuous communication with customers and employees. Duties may include, but are not limited to:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Operates horizontal directional drill in accordance with blueprints and designated plans. Utilize CDL-A license to transport equipment to and from job sites. Possess a fundamental understanding of the one call system rules and regulations. Plan, implement, and manage job tasks in accordance with priorities and goals. Follow project schedules and coordinate changes if required. Follow approved operator/PHMSA guidelines when working on or near live gas mains or services Adhere to standard, company, and site-specific safety policies and regulations. Keep heavy machinery, trucks, equipment and tools maintained on jobsite to eliminate down time to avoid unnecessary expenses. Work to resolve any emerging project issues and/ or problems following the proper protocols. Delegate jobsite responsibilities. Ensure the proper equipment and materials necessary to complete the project are available when needed. Complete required job paperwork daily ie…. Safety briefs, as built, time sheets, accurate bore logs. Understand construction specifications and site plans. Coordinating daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary due to weather, supply, delivery and personnel. Handle multiple job items simultaneously. Train crew members in accordance with company and safety policies Serve as a point of contact with customers, inspectors, subcontractors and vendors performing work in the field. Support the crew by operating equipment, pipefitting, and laboring to exhibit teamwork. Maintain all industry required Operator Qualifications Perform other tasks as requested by leadership. Strong understanding of proper PPE and equipment utilization Assists with job site clean-up daily and as necessary. Additional duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma required. 5 or more years of progressive responsibility related to field and construction type work. Experience in underground gas, pipeline or a related field preferred. Current and valid Driver’s License.
