We are currently seeking Heavy Equipment Operators/Pipelayers/Laborers to join our civil construction group for several major new projects in the Birmingham area.
Significant responsibilities include:
Driving and operating trucks and construction equipment, such as GPS dozers, excavators, backhoes, dump truck, etc. Mainline digging, finish grade and trenchbox work Operating trucks of various sizes and weights in the loading, hauling and unloading of various equipment, materials and supplies. Working with and assisting in digging ditches and trenches, hoisting material, tools, equipment, and any related work. Performing routine daily inspection and prevention maintenance on assigned equipment and referring defects or repairs to the supervisor. Cleaning equipment. Assisting with jobsite cleanup. Performing all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards Job Requirements 1 – 3 years of experience Must be 18 years of age or older Flexibility of hours and location of work Reliable transportation Excellent communication skills Be a team player with a professional attitude Travel may be required
