Experienced Front End Loader Operator 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Vance, AL 35490 Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Front End Loader Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy equipment operation (front end loader). As a Front End Loader Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement of materials on the company site, contributing to the success of our projects. Responsibilities Perform duties consistent with Company and Regulatory mandates pertaining to working and HS&E requirements. Performs a daily safety and equipment check of the loader before each shift Perform routine general maintenance, including preventative and predictive maintenance on the color machine, hoppers, screens, conveyors including land conveyor. Supply the line with continuous flow of mulches such that the hopper is full, colorizing to specification and is running at peak performance and within our quality standards. Monitoring and maintain the operation to ensure the finished product meets the quality standards pursuant to the Quality Control manual. This includes but is not limited to the movement and storage of mulch and fines. Supply raw material to the line efficiently using BMP (best management practices) to minimize product /financial loss and reduce waste. Perform and document daily production reports to reflect yards / hour produced as well as total yards produced; fines vs. mulch and yards/hour rate. Assist associate running the bark processor in receive and sample raw material loads from the hauler ensuring the quality of the material received, the yds received, and the product inventory. Assist associate in the bark processor in segregating and pushing the piles to ensure setbacks, pile height, and stock pile shaping meets the criteria set by the Department of Environmental Health Services (wind rows). Assist in weekly/monthly cycle counts inventory. Monitor the stock piles for excessive heat, turns stockpile, extinguishes small fires and ensure the proper amount of water is used to prepare the stockpile for production use. Perform daily housekeeping duties to ensure the material does not accumulate around the disk screen, bark processor, color machine, under the hoppers, conveyors and shakers. Associates must follow safety practices to avoid injuries. Effectively train all new and temporary associate to ensure they understand and are following the same quality standards and safety standards pursuant to the Quality Control Manual and our Safety Programs. Pursuant to your qualifications, assist in maintenance activities throughout the overall operations. Qualifications 2 to 3 years of heavy equipment operations (front end loader, bulldozer, bobcat, etc. ) Strong mechanical knowledge, reading, math, basic inventory, and basic analytical Ability to work in a dusty environment, including hot/cold/weather Capable of lifting 50 pounds, climbing ladders/stairs and is capable of routinely climbing in and out of the loader feet for most of the day. Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also demonstrating independence when required. Capable of using brooms and shovels.
