Landscape Depot Job Description Position:

Front-End Loader Operator Position Summary The Front-End Loader Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment to move, load, and stockpile bulk materials such as gravel, mulch, soil, and other landscaping supplies. This role ensures product availability for customers, maintains yard organization, and supports overall yard operations at Landscape Depot. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate front-end loaders to move and load bulk materials into bins, hoppers, trucks, and designated storage areas.
• Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of equipment (fluids, tires, safety systems).
• Ensure safe operation following yard traffic patterns and speed limits.
• Load customer vehicles and company delivery trucks accurately and safely.
• Maintain clean and organized stockpiles, bins, and yard areas.
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors immediately.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and cleaning.
• Assist in yard housekeeping and other tasks as directed.
• Follow all safety procedures, including PPE use and hazard communication.
• Participate in safety meetings and required training. Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience operating front-end loaders or similar equipment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read and follow safety instructions and site maps.
• Knowledge of yard safety practices and equipment operation.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work in outdoor environments. Working Conditions
• Outdoor work environment with exposure to weather, dust, and noise.
• Requires physical activity including bending, lifting, climbing in/out of equipment.
• PPE (safety glasses, high-visibility vest, steel-toed boots) is mandatory.
• Variable schedule based on operational needs.
