Duties Operate excavators and other heavy machinery such as loaders, backhoes, and graders to perform tasks such as digging, grading, and moving materials. Execute horizontal drilling operations as needed for utility installation or site preparation. Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to ensure efficient workflow on construction sites. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Utilize water trucks for dust control and material compaction during operations. Follow all safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment on-site. Assist in building foundations, trenches, and other structures as required by project specifications. Qualifications Proven experience operating excavators; additional experience with loader operation, backhoe operation, grader operation, or tanker trucks is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Familiarity with construction site operations and safety standards. Ability to work in various weather conditions while maintaining focus on tasks. Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors. A valid driver’s license is required; additional certifications related to heavy machinery operation are a plus.
