High School diploma or equivalent GED required. Responsible for the safe and productive operation of company equipment. Heavy equipment may include front-end loaders, bulldozers, graders, backhoes, excavators, etc. Air Curtain Incinerator (Burn Box) experience a plus. Required to climb up and down ladders, be able to work at heights of 15 feet, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and walk. Experience operating heavy equipment and the ability to communicate with other operators is essential. While performing the duties of this job, you will frequently work in all types of outside weather conditions, possibly being exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes and/or heavy dust.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• At the beginning of each work day, checks all fluid levels, inspects machine and all support equipment. Fuel and lube as necessary. Completes any necessary maintenance and/or reports repairs to supervisor for assistance.
• Lubes machine and all support equipment daily or more often if needed.
• Looks over work site for the day and chooses the safest way to operate machine to protect personnel and co-workers.
• Shut down procedures will be followed. Inspect machine for any needed repairs. Complete repairs and/or report immediately to supervisor for assistance.
• Moves machine away from debris piles into a safe parking area prior to leaving for the day.
• Maintains a good working relationship with co-workers, supervisors, owners and customers.
• Is available for out of town, holiday and weekend work as requested.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
