Are you ready to operate heavy machinery and contribute to a hardworking, fast-paced team ? The Trusted Handyman LLC is looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator to handle skid steers, chainsaws, and sometimes mulchers and chippers, with opportunities to grow and increase your pay based on skill, work ethic, and leadership. This is not just a sit-in-the-machine job —when you’re not operating equipment, you’ll be expected to join the team in hands-on work , including raking, bagging debris, light demolition (sheds, fence lines, concrete pads, etc.), and other general labor tasks. We mostly handle land clearing, property clean up (junk removal), and light demolition. Own a truck? That’s a major plus! If your truck can tow at least 16,000 lbs , we may ask you to haul our 16 ft dump trailer for extra pay. You may also drive the company’s F-550 with a dump body when needed.

Responsibilities:

Operate heavy machinery (skid steers, mulchers, chainsaws, and chippers). Drive and haul materials using your own truck and our trailer (if applicable) or the company F-550. Join the team in general labor tasks when not in the machine (raking, debris removal, light demolition, etc.). Ensure job sites are safe and clean at all times. Think critically and adapt to job site needs.

Requirements:

✅ Experience operating heavy equipment (skid steers, mulchers, chippers, etc.). ✅ Valid driver’s license & clean driving record. ✅ Must be comfortable contributing to general labor tasks when not operating equipment. ✅ Ability to lift up to 65 lbs and work on your feet. ✅ Reliable work ethic, good communication, and strong teamwork. ✅ Towing experience with a 16 ft or longer trailer is a plus.

Compensation & Growth:

• Pay starts between $20
• $31/hr, based on experience.
• 3-day trial period to determine skills, speed, attitude, critical thinking, and communication.

• Compensation pay for using your own truck to tow company trailers.
