Location Airport Full/Part Time Full-Time Exempt from Classified Service No Minimum Rate 46281.36 Min Pay Frequency Yearly Maximum Rate 70649.96 Max Pay Frequency Yearly Regular/Temporary Regular Minimum Qualifications Eighth grade. Two years of experience operating medium and/or heavy duty automotive or medium and/or heavy duty construction equipment such as crawler-type excavating machines, lowboys, or similar equipment are required. Must possess a CDL/Class A with air-brakes testing. Must be able to work a permanent or rotating shift schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays. Applicants qualifying for employment with the Miami-Dade Aviation Department will be subject to extensive security screening, including but not limited to fingerprint checks, employment verification and such other procedures as may be mandated by federal law. The security clearance required by the federal law is a continuing condition of employment. Recruitment Notes Employees in this classification are responsible for operating tractor-trailers, heavy-duty road rollers, front-end loaders, small bulldozers, and other vehicles used principally for maintenance and construction purposes. This may include the operation of equipment used for the safe removal of Foreign Object Debris (FOD) on the airfield, gates, taxiways, ramps, and roadways. An employee in this classification is responsible for the equipment’s safe and efficient operation and performing routine pre-operational checks and routine preventive maintenance.
