The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating grading machinery to prepare and maintain surfaces for construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation and the ability to work effectively in various outdoor environments. Duties Operate grading equipment, including but not limited to Caterpillar graders, to achieve desired surface levels and grades. Perform routine maintenance checks on grading machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety. Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to execute grading plans effectively. Utilize additional heavy equipment such as dump trucks, water trucks, loaders, and backhoes as needed for project completion. Engage in horizontal drilling tasks when required, ensuring adherence to project specifications. Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols and regulations. Assist in other construction-related tasks as necessary to support project goals. Experience Proven experience in grader operation or similar heavy equipment is preferred. Familiarity with additional machinery operations such as dump trucks, loaders, and backhoes is advantageous. Knowledge of paving techniques and horizontal drilling processes is a plus. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
