Position Description:

The Loader Operator isresponsible for the safe and proficient operation of the assignedloader in heavy/civil constructionenvironments.

Responsibilities:

Comply with (and actively promote)all Safety policies and procedures including reporting allaccidents, incidents and near misses to ensure adherence to ourNumber One Core Value

  • Safety, first in everything we do.

Completeequipment condition reports, as well as a daily checklist of workto be done on your equipment and provide to the ProjectSuperintendent daily through Middlesex Application.

Cleaning themachines daily

  • -This includes sweeping the cabs and removing trashdaily, and lubricating doors and windows bi-weekly.

Understand andcomply with all Company safety policies and procedures

  • -Knowwhere all utilities within the work zone are located
  • -Beresponsible for your own safety as well as those working in thearea.

Inform your Superintendent or Foreman daily of your equipmentfuel status so the fuel truck can be scheduled if needed for thenext morning.

Make a note on your equipment report and let yourSuperintendent know if you need any supplies, i.e.: grease, oil,rags, cleaning supplies, or if the machine needs to be steamcleaned.

QualificationsHigh School Diploma/ GED Certificate.1-2years Operator Experience in Heavy/Civil Construction.

OSHA 10Certified.

Valid Driver License.

Necessary Attributes:

Must possessthe ability to adapt to different personalities and managementstyles.

Commitment to safety, quality, and integrity oriented withstrong professional work ethics.

Identify and discuss all safetyinterlocks, alarms and shutdowns on your machine.

Preform abeginning and end of shift equipment inspection.

Locate and identifyall components of the Bucket/Fork Disconnect System.

Locate allgrease points.

Demonstrate the ability to correctly and safely loaddirt/ gravel onto a truck.

The ability to switch attachments; fork,bucket, jib, etc.

Display understanding and use of theself-leveler.

Demonstrate the ability to safely and effectively pickup wind rows.

Demonstrate the ability to safely load/unload a truckusing fork attachments.

Demonstrate the ability to safely move andstore various types and lengths of pipe such as; a) RCP/ERCP, b)PVC/DIP/SDR, c) CMP/ADS
