For more information visit OWLServices.com and follow us on LinkedIn. The Role We are seeking an experienced and dependable Heavy Equipment Operator to support our fuel tank installation projects. This position plays a critical role in site preparation, equipment operation, and the installation of fueling systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating a range of heavy machinery, installing shoring systems, and assisting with piping, concrete work, and grading. This position requires travel to various job sites and demands a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and adherence to safety protocols. Key Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, telehandlers, forklifts, skid steers, and other machinery as needed. Install and maintain trench safety and shoring systems in compliance with OSHA regulations. Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and grade stakes. Set, check, and maintain proper grades using laser levels or other equipment. Assist with the forming, pouring, and finishing of concrete for tank pads, containment areas, and related structures. Support the installation of underground and above ground piping and fuel systems. Perform pre-operation and post-operation equipment checks; report issues and ensure equipment is maintained in good working order. Record job-specific information such as labor hours, materials used, and progress notes. Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times. Travel frequently to job sites across state lines, with extended stays as needed. Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of experience operating heavy construction equipment. Proven experience installing shoring systems and setting/reading grades. Proficient in reading construction plans and blueprints. Working knowledge of concrete forming, pouring, and finishing techniques. Experience with fuel system or utility piping installation is a strong plus. Ability to travel regularly and stay on-site for extended durations. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (CDL preferred but not required). OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred. Must be willing to travel.
