Position Summary
The main function of the Skid Steer Operator is to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the skid steer loader including, but not limited to, assisting in grading, loading, sweeping, and material handling tasks.

Responsibilities:

Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures including reporting all accidents, incidents and near misses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value – Safety, first in everything we do.
Operate skid steer to support paving and milling operations including brooming, backfilling, and material handling.
Maintain daily pre- and post-operation inspections of skid steer equipment.
Report any maintenance or mechanical issues to the supervisor immediately.
Maintain a clean and organized work area on the job site.
Work closely with milling and paving crews to ensure efficient operations.
Load, transport, and unload materials using skid steer safely and accurately.
Maintain proper fueling, lubrication, and fluid levels on the equipment.
Assist with traffic control and general labor tasks as needed.
Adhere to site safety plans and traffic patterns when operating equipment.
Understand and follow site plans, markings, and verbal directions from supervisors.
Be flexible to work day/night shifts and weekends as necessary.
Ensure all work is performed with the highest quality and attention to detail.
Lock and secure all equipment compartments at the end of shift.
Ensure equipment is parked safely and away from traffic or hazards.
Communicate any delays or challenges to supervisor promptly.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years operating skid steer in a paving or construction environment.
Valid CDL License preferred.
Safety and quality orientated.
Strong work ethic.
Excellent communication skills.
