Equipment Operator 3.4 3.4 out of 5 stars 555 West Main Street, Bartow, FL 33830 Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Bulldozer, Excavator, and/or Motor grader Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience operating various types of heavy machinery, and will have experience with working in and around the phosphate mining areas. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our construction projects, requiring both technical skills and a commitment to safety. MSHA is preferred, but not required. All project sites are located within Polk, Hardee, Hillsborough, and Manatee county. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozer, excavator, motor grader, etc. in a safe and efficient manner. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to timelines and safety regulations. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Assist in training new operators on equipment operation and safety practices as needed. Qualifications Proven experience in bulldozer, excavator, and/or motorgrader operation. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. Valid commercial driving license preferred but not required, however transportation to and from the site is required. All sites will fall within the Polk, Hardee, Hillsborough, and Manatee county areas. Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. A commitment to safety and adherence to all operational guidelines.
