Overview Remedial Construction Services, L.P. is anenvironmental remediation, geotechnical construction, and civilconstruction contractor founded in 1989. The Heavy EquipmentOperator III is a senior level or finish grade operator positionresponsible for operating multiple types of powered constructionequipment such as excavators and bulldozers of all sizes and motorgraders to excavate, move, and grade materials within finishspecifications, and erect structures in a safe and efficientmanner. ResponsibilitiesObserve and comply with all company and specific site safety andproject policies Supply input to Job Safety Analysis (JSA) andfrequent improvements or changes to Job Safety Analysis Plan (JSAP)Perform daily pre-inspection and on-going maintenance checks whileoperating equipment Operate heavy equipment in a safe andappropriate manner to minimize the risk of injury, property damage,or loss of life according to all relevant policies and proceduresExcavate, move, and grade earth/aggregate or mix ingredientsaccording to site specifications and within limitations ofequipment in a safe and productive manner as determined by siteconstruction conditions Achieve acceptable rough and finish gradein all types of soils and conditions Constant inspection andsurveillance of surroundings before and during operation to ensuresafe ground or slope conditions exist, as well as adequate distanceobserved for other equipment or personnel Communicateprofessionally and respectfully with others by all means possible(visual or radio contact) including interpreting hand signals todetermine where materials are to be placed or loaded Workindependently and conduct tasks with limited supervision May assistin lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and work piecesduring installation Responsible for care and custody of equipmentbeing operated, including daily cleaning and maintenance Report allequipment maintenance issues to superintendent Perform othermiscellaneous duties as assigned Pay attention to surrounding andmonitor changes in site conditions Follow directions and learn fromsenior operators and superintendents Qualifications Previous Miningexperience Knowledgeable in OSHA regulations regarding excavationmethods and practices Requires the ability to read survey stakesfor alignment and grading Perform duties of equipment operatorwhile using different levels of PPE, which may include respiratoryequipment Perform duties of equipment operator while working in allsafe outdoor weather conditions Ability to travel over extendedperiods of time on short notice preferred Ability to read, write,and understand math and English preferred Must be able to read andproperly interpret load charts for associated heavy equipment andmanufacturer approved attachments Required to pass skills testprior to operating equipment Must be able to understand anddemonstrate limitations of equipment Must reliably show up on timefor work five to seven days a week as required Must have access toreliable transportation to get to and from the job site dailyEducation/Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferredFive or more years of equipment operating experience, includingMining equipment General construction experience preferred Fieldverification of operator experience 40-Hour

Additional Information SalaryRange :

$20.00 – $28.00 / hr Actual salary will be based on avariety of factors including relevant internal and externalexperience, knowledge, skills, scope of job, geographical locationor other factors permitted by law
