Job Summary:

Nidy Sports Construction is seeking a reliable and experienced Class A CDL Driver to safely transport heavy construction equipment to and from job sites. This position requires a valid Class A license, thorough knowledge of DOT regulations, and proven experience loading, securing, and unloading heavy equipment, and other construction materials.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate commercial vehicles (e.g., dump trucks with equipment trailers, gooseneck trailers, flatbeds, etc.) to transport heavy equipment such as excavators, skid steers, rollers, and other machinery. Safely load and unload equipment using proper techniques and securing methods. Ability to operate various types of heavy equipment, including skid loaders, excavators, rollers and other machinery. Ensure all equipment is properly secured in compliance with DOT and company safety standards. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, hours, and inspections. Communicate with Project Managers and Site Superintendent to coordinate schedules and deliveries. Follow all traffic laws and DOT regulations while maintaining a safe driving record. Communicate with the Shop Supervisor when truck or trailer service is needed or issues arise. Assist in other duties as needed at job sites when not driving.

Qualifications:

Valid Class A CDL License required Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience, with heavy equipment transport experience required Clean driving record and current DOT medical card Strong knowledge of load securement and weight distribution Ability to work flexible hours and travel to different job sites as needed Physically capable of securing loads and climbing on/off trailers safely Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Working Conditions:

This position involves outdoor work in varying weather conditions, early start times, and occasional overnight travel depending on the job location.
