Heavy Equipment Operator/Laborer 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars Norcross, GA 30093 We are hiring Heavy Equipment Operators for the Norcross area. Heavy Equipment Operator role is a physically demanding and technical one, requiring a high level of skill and experience in operating heavy equipment to ensure the accurate and safe preparation of surfaces for construction projects.

Qualifications:

Must have prior experience: Previous experience in operating heavy equipment, particularly motor graders, is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of road construction techniques and equipment, excellent hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are essential.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, potentially including extreme heat and cold, and lift heavy objects.

Key Tasks:

Constructing new road grades, requiring the ability to read and interpret grade stakes. Fine grading aggregate to tolerances suitable for pavement base. Shape and finish shoulders and slopes. Operating auxiliary equipment as needed.
