Job Summary:
The primary objective of a Light Duty Wrecker Operator is to execute calls that are given by the Dispatch Department or Direct Manager without delay. Providing excellent customer service to all Welchel Enterprises’ customers is our number one priority.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute calls given by Dispatch Department or Direct Manager Have knowledge and understanding of WMS customer base and rates Provide service while having a sense of urgency and abiding all safety requirements set forth by Welchel Enterprises Provide accurate rates and mileage to customers. Ability to take directions from the Manager Effectively study a map or use GPS to arrive at destination Operate ALL equipment with care including washing/cleaning truck weekly. Thoroughly understand and abide by all safety standards Ability to effectively handle pressure Demonstrate responsiveness to requests from others and provide assistance when needed Establish and maintain professional working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and the general public Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance and adherence to relevant health and safety procedures

Requirements:
Must pass an annual DOT physical and drug screen Must have a valid driver’s license in the state of Georgia NO serious traffic violations in the last 5 years prior to employment or after being hired Must be able to do the following: Stand, Walk, Lift, Carry, Push, Pull, Climb, Balance and Stoop Ability to handle the exposure to weather including extreme temperatures, rain, snow, sleet or ice
Qualifications:
Experience in the towing and recovery industry is a bonus, however it is not required Mechanical skills will certainly be valuable, however not required High school diploma or equivalent.
