In this role, you will be responsible for operating various types of machinery and equipment in a safe and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. This position is crucial for maintaining productivity and ensuring the quality of our operations. Responsibilities Operate heavy machinery and equipment, including excavators and loaders, according to safety guidelines. Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and identify any maintenance needs. Follow established procedures for loading, unloading, and transporting materials. Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities. Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and improve operational efficiency. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Assist with training new operators on equipment operation and safety practices. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 2+ years experience as an Equipment Operator or similar role is desirable. Valid driver’s license; certification for operating specific machinery is a plus. Strong understanding of safety regulations related to equipment operation. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy loads and standing for extended periods. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team setting.
