Job Description:

As an Experienced Heavy Haul Driver at Ferrara Transportation, you will be responsible for transporting oversized and heavy cargo safely and efficiently. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the secure delivery of loads while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy haul trucks and trailers for the transportation of oversized and heavy cargo.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
• Secure loads properly, following company standards and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs and DOT compliance.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members regarding load status, routes, and any issues that may arise.
• Follow all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service during pickups and deliveries.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Be at least 25 years of age.
• Proven experience as a heavy haul driver, with a strong understanding of oversized load transportation.
• Familiarity with different types of trailers (lowboy, landoll, dove tail, winch truck, stepdeck, and flatbed) preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours and be available for long-haul trips as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
