Senior Heavy Equipment Operator – Refinery Position Available In East Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Job Summary Operates a wide variety of heavy equipment vehicles that perform the spreading and compaction of construction demolition, soil remediation, commercial and residential waste disposed at the post collection facilities or particular job sites.

Hours:

6am – 4:30pm M-Th Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned. Operates heavy equipment(s) in compliance with the company operating safety policies and procedures. Conducts routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment; maintains accurate records Moves and positions raw materials and finished components with use of material moving equipment(s). Follow appropriate standard operating procedures as guideline for operating and maintaining vehicle Performs other duties as assigned. Will be part of a team that will be required to move from job site to job site on an as needed basis. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory duties. Education and Experience Education:

Experience:

Five (5) years of previous experience. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements Pre-assignment and/or pre-hire customer-specific drug and/or alcohol testing may be required by certain customer-contract requirements. Such testing may include urinalysis, oral swab, drug hair follicle testing and/or alcohol testing. TWIC Card to ability to obtain prior to starting Valid Drivers License Commercial Drivers License strongly preferred Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required Ability to operate numerous soil excavation/remediation equipment. Ability to work within a cohesive team/unit Work Environment Listed below are key points regarding environmental demands and work environment of the job.
